Third tier
Scholar
Scholar is the primary advancement option for the Sage. Similar to the Warlock, Scholars are those who have contented themselves with their mastery over the natural elements and so have turned their attention to other forces. But while the Warlock sought out the sinister powers of the Void, Scholars instead turn their efforts on the fundamental laws that make up magic itself.
The primary driving force behind all magic is SP, but the domain of the Scholar lies in turning this passive fuel into a potent weapon in its own right. Virtually all Scholar skills gain benefits from the precise amount of SP the user has at their disposal, either increasing the damage of their offensive skills or enhancing the effects of their supportive ones.
Similar to the Sage before them, Scholars have a suite of offensive skills, but most of their skill points are focused on supportive and utility abilities. These skills are capable of everything from creating magic shields to protect allies, to reducing the SP costs of their allies' abilities, to even accelerating time itself to reduce the Cooldowns of all of their allies' abilities.
But their offensive skills are not to be overlooked either. Each of these skills has its damage tied directly to the user's remaining SP: while over half of max SP, each will deal increased damage in proportion to how much is left, but if below half, they will deal reduced damage based on how much SP is missing. This compounds with elemental bonuses, as all Scholar skills, while Neutral by default, will adopt the element of whatever weapon endow the user has active.
With a final collection of skills to manipulate their own SP, the Scholar is perfectly positioned to turn that ubiquitous resource into an overwhelming advantage on the battlefield.

Skills
Skill names and effects are kept in English because that is how they appear in game.
- Free Cast
Enables the user to walk and attack at reduced speed while casting spells. The penalty to Movement and Attack Speed is reduced at higher levels of the skill.
- Soul Siphon
The user connects their soul to that of the targeted foe, directly siphoning their magical energy. The user regenerates a fixed amount of SP based on the Current HP of the target, and the target is inflicted with the Breach Status.
- Time Shift
The user uses their ultimate mastery over the inner workings of the world to shift time forward for their party. Immediately reduces the active Cooldowns of all party members by a certain amount based on skill level. This skill can never benefit from Cooldown Reduction or effects that reduce active Cooldowns.
- Indulge
The user consumes a portion of their HP, converting it into SP. The amount of HP consumed is determined by skill level.
- Soul Infusion
The user infuses a targeted ally with arcane magics, fuelling their skills for a short duration. For a set number of skills, the SP cost of the targeted ally's abilities are massively reduced.
- Psychic Barrier
The user creates a barrier of pure magical force, consuming a fixed percentage of their remaining SP to protect themselves and their party members from all damage for a short duration. The barrier's HP is based on the amount of SP consumed.
- Soul Burn
The user attacks the target with a burst of raw magical energy which ignites on contact. Deals Neutral property Magic damage. If the target is Breached, has a chance to inflict Severe Burning. The damage of this skill is heavily influenced by the user's remaining SP.
- Force Barrage
The user unleashes a barrage of psychic energy, dealing Neutral property Magic damage to the targeted enemy and all other enemies in the area. The damage is increased against any targets suffering from the Breach status. The damage of this skill is heavily influenced by the user's remaining SP.
- Psychic Storm
The user unleashes a storm of raw magical energy at the targeted location, dealing persistent Neutral Property Magic damage over time to all enemies within. Each hit has a chance to inflict the Breach status. The damage of this skill is heavily influenced by the user's remaining SP.
- Force Sigil
The user inscribes an arcane sigil on the ground that channels incredible raw magic. For the duration, the sigil immobilizes the caster and all enemies within it, dealing constant Neutral Property Magic damage over time to all enemies. The damage dealt is heavily influenced by the user's remaining SP.
